Code of Conduct for Parents/Carers/Spectators

A parent’s/Carer’s spectator’s expectations and attitudes have a significant bearing on a child’s attitude towards:

Other members

Club Officers/Instructors

Other Spectators

This Club will ensure that parents/carers/spectators are always positive and encouraging towards all of the children – not just their own – and will encourage parents/carers/spectators to:

During Club sessions:-

1.The parent/carer or spectator is to stand or sit quietly to watch the lesson to one side of the hall.

2.The parent/carer or spectator is not to distract the child during lessons.

3.The parent/carer or spectator is not allowed to wander around on the grounds of Health and Safety during the lesson.

4.Other children with a parent/carer or spectator but not participating in the lesson will be expected to follow the same code of conduct.

5.The parent/carer or spectator is not to distract the lesson with conversation, shouting or screaming.

6.Please turn off your mobile phones while the lessons are being taken.

During Gradings:

1.The parent/carer or spectator is not to be allowed in the hall but can watch through windows if there are any.

2.The parent/carer or spectator is not to distract the child during the grading by banging on windows, waving etc.

 

During Inter-club and national competitions:

1.Applaud the opposition as well as their own children

2.Avoid trying to coach the child during the competition

3.Not to shout and scream.

4.Respect the referee’s decision

5.Give support and attention to all of the children in the club not just the most talented

The Club will ensure that parents/carers/spectators agree and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Child Protection Policy.
